Q. Will the TELMAX Galaxy Series and the TELMAX Odyssey Series Teleprompter's fit my camera?
A. Yes, both of our teleprompter lines will work with any size camera, big or small.
Q. How do I know which Teleprompter will work best for me?
A. This is a complicated question. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your Teleprompter. In most cases our 15" Teleprompter is adequate with a range up to 20'; however, the bigger teleprompter's have their advantages with a larger reading area along with greater distance from the camera. You may call one of our skilled staff members to discuss which of our products will work best for you.
Q. How does a Teleprompter work?
A. A teleprompter creates a scrolling text in front of the camera lens that is viable to the subject being filmed and not to the camera itself. The advantage to using a Teleprompter is that when the subject is reading from the teleprompter they are looking directly into the lens of the camera, where if they were reading from notes or cue cards it would be obvious that they are looking off camera. The objective of using a Teleprompter is to have the subject being filmed reading a script without the viewer knowing about it. Teleprompter's are commonly used for television in news rooms, game shows, talk shows, and many other recorded events.
Q. What is the difference between a Stage Prompter (Presidential Prompter) and a Teleprompter?
A. A stage prompter does the same thing that a Teleprompter does except for one thing; Stage Prompters do not normally have cameras filming directly through them. Instead, you my see the clear Two-Way mirror as the camera pans across the stage but the scrolling is only viable to the reader, but not viable on the reverse side of the Stage Prompter Mirror. On the other hand, a Teleprompter is designed to always sit between the subject and the camera and encloses the camera under some type of hood.
Q. Why do your prices seem much less than most other Teleprompter Companies?
A. We are the manufacture and distributor of our own products. This gives as a low operation cost which results in a less expensive product.
Q. Are your products the same quality as the other Teleprompter companies products?

Q. How come there is only a downloadable version of your software?
A. To keep down the costs of our great products we only provide a downloadable version; however, if our customers do want a hard copy there is nothing stopping them from printing the installation files to a CD once they have been downloaded from our server.
Q. Way can't I ad items to the shopping cart on this website?
A. Because you do not have cookies enabled in your web browser.
Q. How come some products ship same day and other ship in 3-5 days?
A. Some items are doped-shipped from the manufacture which increased the order processing times. Other items have to be built before shipping.
Q. Is there a warranty on your products?
A. All products manufactured by Gilbert and Company Inc come standard with a three year limited warranty. You my contact is to discuss any limitations on the warranty of the product you are interested in.
Q. Can I pay using PayPal?
A. Yes, We accept all major forms of Credit Cards and we also accept PayPal.
Q. How do I get my software?
A. When you made your purchase you created an account. Log into your account and your ZaPrompt Pro Serial Number and the download will in the download section of your account.
Q. The Serial Number I got with ZaPrompt Pro won't work to activate the software?
A. Often times our customers confuse the Serial Number for the Activation Key for ZaPrompt Pro. To activate ZaPrompt Pro you need to have access to the Internet, preferably with the computer you are installing it on. Once you hit the activation button at start up you will see a link that will take you to a Secure Activation Website. You will use your serial number at this website to obtain your Activation Key. This Activation Key is what you will enter at the activation window of ZaPrompt Pro. There are step by step instruction on how to do this in your download folder. |
